Built on character, trust, loyalty and, most importantly, passion, our story with Summer Sisters Weddings & Events began long ago when we (Lauren and Katie) were little girls. We’ve been best friends for decades and happened upon wedding and event planning as an extension of our professional experience and personal interests.

From that, the business continues to grow and we’re able to be by the sides of fantastic couples throughout the year. Lauren grew up in Rhode Island while Katie visited Block Island often. Plus, we were both married on the Island. We have extensive knowledge of the area and have built incredible relationships with local businesses and business owners.

Planning, organization and execution come second nature to us. We’d love to team up with you and bring your wedding magic to life!

“I grew up in coastal RI spending time on the water with family and friends.  I started working in restaurants at a young age, which grew into a career in the hospitality industry...and eventually led to launching Summer Sisters with Katie. I enjoy the crunch time in the weeks leading up to a wedding day and getting to be by the couple's side when it all comes together!”
